What began as a student-led initiative at the University of Cape Town has grown into one of the most recognized student-focused grooming brands in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town. Built from the ground up, Madiba Studios was created to address a simple but powerful need - accessible, high-quality grooming tailored to student life.
Family & Responsibility — At its core, the business was inspired by responsibility and family. The foundation of Madiba Studios is deeply rooted in supporting my mother and building something meaningful that could create stability, opportunity, and long-term impact. That sense of purpose shaped the discipline, work ethic, and consistency that define the brand today.
Growth & Recognition — Starting as a mobile service, we brought convenience directly to students, eliminating long queues and travel while maintaining professional standards. Through consistency, discipline, and attention to detail, the brand quickly earned trust across campuses, expanding its reach to a growing and loyal client base. Over the past three years, we have maintained an exceptionally high standard of service, with over 90% of customer experiences being positive. Our journey has not gone unnoticed. As a finalist in The Pitch UCT 2025, Madiba Studios has been recognised for its innovation, impact, and potential as a scalable business.
